One of my favorite sushi spots in LA. We always return here because the ambience is chill. It's super affordable and the food is always high-quality. We love the specialty rolls! We also tried the calamari and the mixed tempura this time, which were both fabulous! My mom ordered the steak and that was also surprisingly really tender and good! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was on point as usual. They are always quick and efficient and friendly. Thank you Fusion for the great food and service! Very fresh and very fast!

This place recently rebranded to Yume. With the new name, they also revamped the menu and food items. Everything we ordered was so good, but the standout for me was the Cherry Blossom roll. The service here is pretty fast as well, we were seated and had water/utensils in front of us in no time. The servers also made sure to come around often to check in on us, it was nice not having to flag someone down when we needed something. I would definitely come back again to try all the different things on the menu, it looked pretty extensive! 10/10 recommend

Recently went after they rebranded as "Yume" We had the: - halibut sashimi with mango salsa - albacore sashimi with crispy onions - crispy rice with spicy tuna - garlic spicy edamame - shrimp crunchy roll - red dragon roll We loved everything we got! Especially the halibut sashimi and crispy rice. The service was great- the restaurant was empty when we got there and within 10 minutes, 8 other tables were sat and only 2 servers on the floor. They handled the rush with poise and grace. Love the ambiance as well. We definitely will be back!

This place feels casual in a nice way. We were greeted at the door by June and taken to our table right away. The whole ambiance is relaxed with a slight upscale reel to it. FOOD: Sashimi: Pretty good, Almost melting in your mouth but not quite. Truffle Unagi: This was good, the truffle flavor kind of gets lost in the unagi sauce so it kind of just tastes like unagi. Black Ocean: This was not plated as pictured and was missing the sesame sauce. The flavors that DID make it were pretty good though with the seaweed pesto and some ginger gochujang thing on it. Deja Vu Roll: This was a well balanced roll. Not too spicy to overwhelm the palate but enough to get a little kick. Halibut Mango Salsa: This was okay, I wouldn't call it a mango salsa because it is just tomatoes with mango. I will say the flavors go very well together though. Also with the way it is plated it makes it hard to get everything in one bite. Yellowtail Jalapeno: I did not get a lot of other flavors in this aside from the fish. The tomato and jalapeno with the fish go well but I did not get any of the other flavors from the sauce unfortunately. Overall the service and vibe was great and the quality of the food was good, but some of the dishes were either incomplete or perhaps over-thought. Overall a 4 out of 5. I think a simpler menu that really delivers on the creativity and taste that some of these dishes had potential to do.

Walking around Manhattan beach and found this place. The ambiance here is casual, fun, and chill. Something you would expect from a beach town. Outdoor seating is nice, with plenty of tables to sit at (although the view isn't that great with construction going on right across the street), but the patio is walled off and has some decorative lanterns and veggitation. Service: It was excellent! Less than a minute from sitting down, I had my water and all the items I would require for my meal. As each plate was finished, someone was quick to clear it off, which says a LOT about a place. Seating: they have both indoor, bar, and outdoor seating. Menu: huge! There are so many lovely items to choose from. For me, I ordered the half dozen oysters, blue crab with salmon and black truffle roll, sashimi black bass, and pork belly. Yes, yes, I ate it all. The ONLY issue I had with this place was the flies that kept trying to land on my plate. Of which the waiter apologized for (I guess there's a trash receptical nearby, which is the cause) Not a huge deal, but enough of a nuisance. I suggest swinging by and giving this place a try. Next time, I'll do indoor seating and a nice hot stone beef bowl

7/9/24 Tuesday 7 pm We liked everything we ate. The dressing in the bento box salad wasn't the crapy orange mayonnaise I've seen in some places. We had three items: bento, fried chicken appetizer, and the lemon roll. The sashimi in the bento is the sweet spot of quality and price. I recommend getting a bento. There is more food than we were expecting, and it's good. We liked this place will be back.

I usually order Fusion Sushi for pick up but we decided to dine in. Parking is a hassle, however, you can park in the lot behind. You just pay for parking which is a few bucks. This lets you eat and walk down to the pier after. We ordered a few appetizers including Seaweed Salad and Spicy Garlic Edamame. I thought the spicy garlic edamame was going to be too hot for me (I don't eat spicy) but it was more garlicy if anything. The seaweed salad is usually a fave, but it wasn't that great today. Maybe it was just a miss? I would still order it again to see if the taste gets better or it just doesn't taste as good as before. Next, we ordered some rolls including Captain America, Crunch Spider Roll, and Sapporo Roll. My favorite was Captain America but if you like some cream cheese then I recommend Sapporo. The rolls are always so good so you can't go wrong with any. The price varies from $16-$20 per roll. Kind of pricey but good quality. The service was good but too fast for my liking. It felt a little rushed but they did make sure we always had water or if we were okay. I prefer restaurants that let you relax as you order/eat. However, it felt like they wanted you to order asap or leave shortly after finishing. Luckily we had extra time given the parking so we just continued our talk at the beach. Overall, 8/10.
